Artists’ intent is paramount. The appropriateness of conservation is always the first consideration. The path of least intervention is often key to any conservation that is undertaken, less is usually more.

Attention to the minute details of media, paper and technique is critical to each individual artwork. Understanding and working with these technical details is often challenging and invariably fascinating.
